During the visit, the ship will embark 31st MEU personnel, vehicles and equipment, prior to continuing a scheduled patrol. Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, is on a routine patrol, operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to serve as a forward-capability for any type of contingency.
