Arabian Gulf (Dec. 23, 2006) - As one Sailor from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) hurries up a hill for a bit of sand-boarding, more Sailors from IKE and the guided-missile cruiser USS Anzio (CG 68), enjoy Hannah Tattoos, food and live entertainment at a camp site near Jabal Ali, one of the seven emirates that comprise the United Arab Emirates, during a Morale Welfare and Recreation sponsored tour, Sunset Safari, Dec. 23. IKE pulled into Jabal Ali as part of a Morale Welfare and Recreational visit, to allow the crew a few days off from their hard work in the 5th Fleet Area of Operations. IKE and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
