Arabian Gulf (Dec. 23, 2006) - The camp site near Jabal Ali, one of the seven emirates that comprise the United Arab Emirates, where Sailors from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) and guided-missile cruiser USS Anzio (CG 68) will buy souvenirs, sand-board and enjoy live entertainment during a Morale Welfare and Recreation sponsored tour, Sunset Safari, Dec. 23. IKE pulled into Jabal Ali as part of a Morale Welfare and Recreational visit, to allow the crew a few days off from their hard work in the 5th Fleet Area of Operations. IKE and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
