Arabian Gulf (Dec. 23, 2006) - Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Clarence Savage, a Sailor from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), pets a camel during a Morale Welfare and Recreation sponsored tour, Sunset Safari, near Jabal Ali, one of the seven emirates that comprise the United Arab Emirates, Dec. 23. IKE pulled into Jabal Ali as part of a Morale Welfare and Recreational visit, to allow the crew a few days off from their hard work in the 5th Fleet Area of Operations. IKE and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
