Fort McCoy Garrison Commander Col. David J. Pinter Sr. provides opening remarks during the Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Ceremony on May 20, 2017, at Fort McCoy, Wis. Each veteran attending the ceremony received a Vietnam Veterans Lapel Pin during the event. The ceremony was one of many taking place around the United States that officially recognizes veterans who served between May 1, 1955, and Nov. 15, 1975.
