Maj. Chris Spencer, retirement services officer, 88th Regional Support Command, discusses the awards and medals earned by Pfc. Herbert A. Grue during a ceremony to honor the World War II veterans' service, May 28. Grue was killed in 1942 when his ship was attacked in the Pacific theater of operations. Spencer presented the awards to Grue's surviving family members.
