Soldiers from Task Force Baltic Phoenix, 3rd Brigade, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, out of Fort Drum, N.Y., participate in a Mass Casualty, or MASCAL, exercise across Latvia as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, May 27. Latvian soldiers, acting as casualties, were picked up in three locations in Latvia and were all evacuated to Riga East University Hospital to assist in a MASCAL exercise being conducted at the hospital to ensure seamless transition from military medical care to a higher level civilian medical facility. This shows that the 10th CAB is prepared to lead and provide aviation support to regional and global military forces at a moment’s notice ensuring mission success through joint and combined training exercises focused on interoperability and conducting unified land operations with the national response forces of our Allies and partners.
