FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (May 13, 2017) - Builder 3rd Class Jacob Crater and Steelworker 2nd Class Johnny Hagemann, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, sketch a defensive fire plan on a range card for the entry control point sectors of fire during the battalions’ field training exercise in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., May 13. The training is designed to exercise all aspects of the battalion’s defensive and operational capabilities from manning a fighting position on the company lines to reacting to chemical warfare threats and improvised explosive devices.
