FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (May 14, 2017) - Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Nathan Rhode, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, assesses a simulated casualty as they are transported to the helicopter landing zone for medical evacuation during a mass casualty drill on Forward Operating Base Anderson in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., during the battalions’ field training exercise, May 14. The training is designed to exercise all aspects of the battalion’s defensive and operational capabilities from manning a fighting position on the company lines to reacting to chemical warfare threats and improvised explosive devices.
