FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. (May 16, 2017) - Builder Constructionman Heith Wright, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, uses a jackhammer to break cement around a crater in order to repair the damage on the airfield from a simulated airstrike from enemy forces on Forward Operating Base Anderson in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., during the battalions’ field training exercise (FTX), May 16. FTX prepares and tests the battalion’s ability to enter hostile locations, build assigned construction projects and defend against enemy attacks using realistic scenarios while being evaluated by Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1.
