170518-N-KG618-241 YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 18, 2017) - Operations Specialist 2nd Class Juan Londono, attached to U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), kicks a ball back into play during Morale, Welfare and Recreation Yokosuka's Men's 11-on-11 Soccer Championship. Blue Ridge's men's soccer team beat USS Benfold's (DDG-65) team 2-1 for the championship. Blue Ridge is in an extensive maintenance period in order to modernize the ship to continue to serve as a robust communications platform in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
