Dayna Jalkanen, deputy director of museum and education, Ohio Statehouse, explains the significance of the Senate Chambers to U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps Marines at the Statehouse, Columbus, Ohio, May 15, 2017. The Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment was invited and hosted by the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, Clifford A. Rosenberger, to tour the Statehouse and perform for members of the House of Representatives and the city of Columbus. In December, the Barracks provided Marines in supporting the public viewing of former Marine, Senator and astronaut, John Glenn, at the Statehouse. In attendance at the Battle Color Ceremony was Glenn’s widow, Annie Glenn, to show her continued support of the beloved Corps. (Official Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Robert Knapp/Released)
