LIELVĀRDE, Latvia – Senior Master Sgt. Jeremy Wohlfore, with the Alpina Combat Readiness Training Center out of Michigan demonstrates how first responders would access the cockpit of a F/A-18 in the event of an emergency, May 18. A Finnish F/A-18 Hornet tested out the arresting cable set-up and refueled at Lielvārde Air Base with the Latvian air force and Soldiers from 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, out of Fort Drum, N.Y., as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve. This is a new capability at Lielvārde that allows it to be more versatile to the NATO mission. The 10th CAB is prepared to lead and provide aviation support to regional and global military forces at a moment’s notice ensuring mission success through joint and combined training exercises focused on interoperability and conducting unified land operations with the national response forces of our Allies and partners.
