Airmen assigned to the 109th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard learn how to use flares in order to be spotted by aircraft if stranded during “Kool Skool” Arctic survival training class at Raven Camp, Greenland on June 3, 2015. About 25 Airmen are participating in the 2017 Kool Skool training , which teaches Airmen arctic survival skills, including how to build a shelter and use only the items immediately available to them to survive in the arctic.
