170515-N-OL837-006 SPOKANE, Washington (May 15, 2017) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician Third Class Shane Grubbs, from Moyock, N.C., attached to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 3, talks to students during a static display at Freeman High School on the first day of Spokane Navy Week. Since 2005, the Navy Week program has served as the Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country without a significant Navy presence, with 195 Navy Weeks held in 71 different U.S. cities. The program is designed to help Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
