PACIFIC OCEAN – Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, the Logistics Combat Element of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, assigned to Combat Cargo and Sailors with the deck department, USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) separate supplies delivered to the ship from a vertical replenishment mission during Composite Training Unit Exercise, May 11, 2017. The capability of resupplying at sea gives the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and the America Amphibious Ready Group the needed mobility and sustainability to maintain an asymmetric advantage over adversaries. During COMPTUEX, the 15th MEU and AMAARG will exercise a wide range of capabilities, from disaster response and maritime security operations to sea control and complex warfighting.
