In this image released by the Army Reserve's 75th Training Command, soldiers with the unit's Headquarters Detachment attend a presentation given by William Orlin in Houston, Texas, Sunday, April 23, 2017. With his family, a seven-year old Orlin fled the Nazi advance into Poland in 1939, and spent the next six years serially resettling in mulitple countries. The family eventually migratied to the United States, where Orlin later joined the military during the years of the Korean War. The 75th Training Command invited the Houston-based war survivor and veteran to speak to the the unit's troops as part of any Army-wide, annual observance of victims of the Holocaust. In addition to combat and duty-specific training, Army Reserve troops regularly receive instruction on a variety of equal opportunity and cultural awareness topics.
