NEW YORK - This chart shows the approximate spill location of the dielectric fluid spill that occurred May 7, 2017, and the safety zone which was implemented by the Coast Guard the following afternoon. The Coast Guard, ConEdison, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), continue to work together responding to the spill, which occurred when a transformer failed on the ConEdison Farragut Substation in Brooklyn.
