JUBAIL, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (April 30, 2017) Cmdr. Mark Davis,center, commanding officer of USS Mahan (DDG 72), works with Sailors from the U.S. and Royal Saudi Navy at the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Eastern Fleet Training Center in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to plan training evolutions for Exercise Nautical Union 17. Nautical Union is a bilateral multi-dimensional exercise between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, which promotes interoperability, cross-training and maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
