JUBAIL, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (April 29, 2017) A Saudi Arabian tugboat approaches USS Mahan (DDG 72) as it prepares to moor pierside in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Exercise Nautical Union 17. Nautical Union is a bilateral multi-dimensional exercise between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, which promotes interoperability, cross-training and maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
