Major Inga Wuerges, a pilot assigned to the 168th Air Refueling Squadron, and Master Sgt. Chris Willey, noncommissioned officer in charge of the 168th Operations Support Squadron Weapons and Tactics section, 168th Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, start their pre-flight checks before the incentive flight they’ll be crewing for May 4, 2017. The KC-135R and its’ crew is taking nine Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets from North Pole High School, North Pole, Alaska, on a refueling mission during joint training exercise NORTHERN EDGE 2017, where the cadets will get to observe actual air refueling operations.
