Petty Officer 2nd Class Scott Lee, a boatswain’s mate stationed at Coast Guard Station Honolulu, was recognized for his outstanding community service by Hawaii State Governor David Y. Ige and Capt. Brian Penoyer, Fourteenth Coast Guard District chief of staff, at the Hawaii State Capitol, May 5, 2017. The Military Affairs Council of the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii joined Governor Ige in a proclamation ceremony designating May as Military Appreciation Month and honoring service members from all five branches of the armed forces for their community service contributions.
