Petty Officer 3rd Class Brittany Faircloth, aviation boatswain's mate (equipment), from Winchester, Va., mans deck edge control as aircraft launch from the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. The deck edge control fires the steam-powered catapults which launch aircraft. Ronald Reagan is underway conducting carrier qualifications as part of a composite training unit exercise in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
