Petty Officer 3rd Class Brittany Faircloth, from Winchester, Va., mans deck edge control as aircraft launch off the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. The deck edge control fires the steam-powered catapults which launch aircraft. Ronald Reagan is currently conducting carrier qualifications as part of a Composite Training Unit Exercise in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
