Matthew Klott, a Paratrooper deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve, performs maintenance on a mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicle to ensure it’s running properly at a tactical assembly area near Hammam al-Alil, Iraq, May 2, 2017. Klott, assigned to 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, is part of the Falcon Brigade that enables their Iraqi security forces through the advise and assist mission, contributing planning, intelligence collection and analysis, force protection and precision fires to achieve the military defeat of ISIS.
