PACIFIC OCEAN (May 2, 2017) An F/A-18C Hornet from the “Blue Blasters” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 34 takes off from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) during flight operations in the western Pacific Ocean. The U.S. Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia-Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
