Afghan of all ages wait to get their animals treated at a Veterinary Outreach Sustainment Program in Marawara District, Kunar province, Oct. 24. The provincial Afghan government conducted the program, in which local veterinarians provided no-cost veterinary services under the direction of the provincial veterinary officer. The Iowa National Guard's 734th Agri-Business Development Team provided financial support, quality control and security at the event, where the veterinarians treated nearly 200 goats, sheep and cattle.
