U.S. Army Col. Thomas E. Drew, 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team deputy commanding officer, Task Force Wolverine, salutes U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Scott Doyon, Panjshir Provincial Reconstruction Team member and Clinton, Maine, native, after he was presented a Bronze Star Medal in recognition for his actions while assigned to Panjshir PRT. Doyon was one of five individuals who were presented the Bronze Star by Drew, Oct. 21. The Bronze Star Medal was established by Executive Order 9419, Feb. 4, 1944, and is the ninth highest military award, including combat and non-combat awards, in the order of precedence of U.S. military decorations.
