TATA, Morocco - U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Burke W. Whitman, commanding general 4th Marine Division, shakes hand with a Moroccan Armed Forces officer after landing in Tata, for an HCA Site Visit, April 23, 2017, during Exercise African Lion 17. Various units from the U.S. Armed Forces will conduct multilateral and stability operations training with units from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces in the Kingdom of Morocco. This combined multilateral exercise is designed to improve interoperability and mutual understanding of each nation’s tactics, techniques and procedures while demonstrating the strong bond between the nation’s militaries.
