Officers from the Orange County Sheriff's Department and the Santa Ana Police Department carry the remains of nine deceased veterans to a memorial site for final honors to be rendered at Riverside National Cemetery, California, April 4, 2017. The veterans, whose remains were in the custody of the Orange County District Attorney and Public Administrator's office, all passed away in 2017 and were either homeless or without living family members. One was a World War II veteran, two were veterans of the Korean War, five served in Vietnam, and one is a Global War on Terrorism veteran. (Air National Guard photo by Airman Michelle J. Ulber)
