U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Simone King introduces high school and college educators from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts to an incentive training sand pit during the Educators’ Workshop on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., April 19, 2017. The workshop is a four-day program designed to better inform high school and college educators about the benefits and opportunities available during service in the Marine Corps. This allows the attendees to return to their place of business and provide firsthand experience and knowledge with individuals interested in military service. King is a drill instructor with the Recruit Training Regiment, MCRD Parris Island.
