Marines with with Company K, Battalion Landing Team 3/8, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, watch from the flight deck of USS Ponce as sailors patrol the swimming area during a steel beach picnic, Oct. 16, 2010. The picnic was held to boost moral, increase camaraderie and offered fishing, swimming and other sports activities. The 26th MEU is currently embarked aboard the ships of Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group operating in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
