TAURAMA, Papua New Guinea (April 18, 2017) U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Patrick J. Reynolds, commanding officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 11, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, presents an 11th MEU paddle to Lt. Col. Boniface Aruma, a company commander with Royal Pacific Island Regiments, Papua New Guinea Defense Force (PNGDF), during the closing ceremony of a military tactics exchange at Taurama Barracks, as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 18. TSC’s like the one conducted alongside the PNGDF, help to enhance military capabilities with partner nations in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region, and serve to strengthen their respective abilities to respond to a contingency.
