TAURAMA, Papua New Guinea (April 17, 2017) A Papua New Guinea Defense Force (PNGDF) service member emerges from behind a corner to clear an intersecting hallway during close-quarters tactics training conducted alongside U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) at Taurama Barracks as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 17. During the training, PNGDF service members practiced basic close-quarters tactics under the instruction of the 11th MEU Marines. A number of different scenarios were managed by the Marines to provide the PNG service members the experience of selecting the appropriate method per situation. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
