Members of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band share a meal during a gathering at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point NC, March 22, 2017. Brig. Gen. Matthew Glavy hosted the gathering to also present the members of the band with The Colonel George S. Howard Citation of Musical Excellence for Military Concert Bands, Colonel George S. Howard Citation of Musical Excellence for Military Concert Bands and the Live Performance of the Year Award. The 2nd MAW band holds a reputation of professional excellence as they dedicate countless hours to both music and the community. Glavy is the commanding general of 2nd MAW.
