A U.S. Servicemember navigates the rappel tower during day eight of U.S. Army Central’s first Air Assault Course, April 12, 2017, at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. The 50-foot rappel tower is one test within the three-phase course soldiers have to pass to attain the air assault badge. The Air Assault Course is a 12-day class that allows U.S. military personnel in the U.S. Army Central area of operations the unique opportunity to become air assault qualified, while deployed outside the continental United States.
