TAURAMA, Papua New Guinea (April 16, 2017) Papua New Guinea Defense Force service members perform room clearing drills during a bilateral military capabilities exchange conducted alongside U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit at Taurama Barracks, as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, April 16. Along with entry control point and vehicle checkpoint operations, the bilateral training focuses on military support to civil authority roles, which include: escalation of force tactics, personnel searches, urban patrolling and VIP escorts.
