PACIFIC OCEAN (April 13, 2017) Chief and first class petty officers gather on the messdeck aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) for Chief Petty Officer (CPO) 365 training while underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
