Bryan H. Wood, assistant deputy commandant, Installations and Logistics, sounds the whistle while backing up the U.S. Army locomotive used to move trains around the rail operations yard on the Yermo Annex of Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, April 4. The base boasts the largest railhead in the entire Department of Defense and is vital to moving equipment to and from the base as well as to training at the Army’s National Training Center at Fort Irwin.
