Marines attached to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany funeral detail carry Marine Pfc. James O. Whitehurst’s casket to his final resting place at Cowarts Baptist Church Cemetery in Cowarts, Ala., April 12. Whitehurst was killed in action while fighting the Japanese at the battle of Tarawa during World War II, Nov. 20, 1943.
