Lt. Col. Eric Land, commander of the 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division and Command Sergeant Major Cassandra Redd, uncase the battalion colors during the unit’s transfer of authority ceremony, Oct. 10. The 4th BSTB "Spartan" troops will now be assuming the mission of advising, training and assisting the Iraqi Security Forces, and managing the base operations on COS Marez.
