PACIFIC OCEAN (April 6, 2017) Operations Specialist 1st class Terrence Carter, from Romeoville, Ill. and Boatswains Mate 1st class Shane Slater, from Middleberg, N.Y., demonstrates proper techniques for handling a non-compliant person during ship's security reaction force training aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) while underway for a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
