Multinational special operations elements rappel onto an oil tanker somewhere in the Persian Gulf to take control of a hijacked oil tanker in a training scenario. Soldiers from Company B, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division played the opposing force for a joint training exercise, called Eagle Resolve, between U.S. special operations forces and SOF elements from Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates.
