A map of south Mississippi is used to show leaders various areas that Soldiers may be deployed to in case of hurricane or other natural disaster during the Mississippi National Guard's 2017 Hurricane Exercise at the Combat Readiness Training Center, Gulfport, Mississippi on April 8, 2017. The purpose of this exercise is to prepare Mississippi Guardsmen to respond to weather threatening the state and to maintain the ability to deploy forces even under the most adverse weather conditions.
