U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Company D, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, deployed to Al Asad, Iraq, in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, provide fire support on the battlefield from the skies with the MQ-1C Gray Eagle. The Gray Eagle is a long-endurance platform able to fly for nearly 27 hours at speeds of up to 150 knots while carrying up to four AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. The unit is deployed to provide dedicated and consistent support to the Coalition to help the Government of Iraq defeat ISIS. CJTF-OIR is the global Coalition to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
