    36th Infantry Division (TXARNG)

Sgt. Carlos Meda, 36th Infantry Division Band member, sang the National Anthem and God Bless America as the Texas Historical Commission, Texas Military Forces Museum, the 36th Infantry Division and Texas State Legislators took part in a World War 1 Centennial Ceremony on the steps of the Texas Capitol on April 6, in Austin, Texas. The ceremony commemorated the 100-year anniversary of U.S. participation in "The Great War." The 36th Inf. Div. participated in the largest offensive operation in U.S. military history at Meuse-Argonne, which, in victory, brought an end to the war.
