Cmdr. Eric Doyle, a native of League City, Texas, was selected to be the commanding officer for the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, during the 2018 and 2019 show seasons at the National Museum of Aviation onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, April 4. Doyle will report for initial training in Pensacola in September and officially take command of the squadron at the end of the air show season in November.
