A U.S. Marine Corps CH-46 Sea Knight lands just miles from Pano Aqil Cantonment, Pakistan, carrying a security team tasked with bringing order to a relief supply drop off area, Oct. 12. CH-46 and CH-53 Super Stallion helicopters, operated by the 15th and 26th Marine Expeditionary Units respectively, have been operating out of Pano Aqil since early September. U.S. military helicopters have transported more than 10 million pounds of relief supplies since relief operations began, Aug. 5.
