WELISARA NAVAL BASE, Sri Lanka (March 30, 2017) U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Patrick Reynolds, commanding officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 11, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, socializes with senior Sri Lanka Navy leaders during a barbecue held at Welisara Naval Base as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, March 30. The engagement focused on increasing military ties between the U.S. and Sri Lankan militaries, to include: helping shape the development of the newly established Sri Lankan Marine Corps, and increase the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief capabilities of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces.
