Marines with Fox Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, provide security for incoming Combat Rubber Raiding Crafts during a boat raid at Kin Blue Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, Mar. 22, 2017. Fox Co., BLT 2/5 conducted the boat raid during Certification Exercise as a part of the 31st MEU's 17.1 Spring Patrol. As the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed unit, the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's air-ground-logistics team provides a flexible force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations, from limited combat to humanitarian assistance operations, throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
